Challenge YOUrself #20:

G'day! I'm scraping this one in....the current Challenge YOUrself is this:
And I got out my Heidi Swapp colourshine mist sprays.
The colours were perfect!

 I created the 'together' & circles with my die cutting machine:

How's that for a short and snappy post?
Lots going on atm - my Bestest Friend is arriving today for a brief stay....
my FIRST EVER scrap retreat is a couple of weeks away - 'Camp Mojo'...
Looking forward to both these events very, very much!
Cheers for now ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

There's a Damsel in Distress and Some Rubber Dance Stamping happening here!!!

Heehee!!! Many of you will know BECCA from her blog, The Damsel of Distressed Cards.
This month was her birthday. And she's running a challenge!
She also has a list of her favourite things, so I took the top L picture,
which has her fave colour combo of purple and teal [!!!] &
that typography photo, along with her penchant for CAS cards:
 Becca also has a penchant for water and Gelatos. So I added that into the mix!
I heat embossed the sentiment first, on water colour paper, then smudged the gelatos
to my heart's content.
Speaking of sentiments, that rather stupendous stamp is from a
giveaway win from Rubber Dance Stamps...which leads me to THEIR challenge!!!
I didn't go with the Optional theme this month, as we're in the middle of winter
& no school holidays or anything. I DID break out another of my Rubber Dance Stamps.
Or two!!!
I fussy cut that dancin' gal off a different bg.... yeah....still feeling SICK.
FUSSY CUTTING. Eye roll!
Then I popped her on that YUMMY background stamp also from Rubber Dance Stamps.
Added some sequins, Glimmer Glaze drops and twine..... & it's DONE!!!
Thanks for checking these cards out:)
Cheers, Lizzy ♥♥♥

CSI #169 - Major Case File & Let's Get Arty #65:

Hi there! It's been ages since I joined with CSI. These days they have a case file
that is open all month long. This, I FINALLY managed!
I'm hoping you can 'see' the sketch:
My evidence includes STARS, STAMPS & STENCILS....just realised
that's 3 "S's"!!! The little dots behind the photos are my stenciling, with Tattered
Angels Glimmer Mist. This paper?
Sent to me by the LOVELY Jelissa Mei. It's HER range from 13@rts:)
I fussied up a material flair using Staz On ink & a star stamp!
I've also got wooden stars and brad metal stars in there too:)
All my colours are there. The deep purple/brown is in the alphas &
some splashes of Glimmer Mist, too:
Since Lucas was still 2 in these photos, I've added some bg stamps with that number.
And also my FAVE Kaisercraft criss-cross stamp [thanks Lizzy C!].
The enamel dots are from Sawyer's Place. Perfect colour!
And my testimony is the 3 journaling tags I actually used for the title.
Had too much journaling to pop a title down lower!!!
The little hearts at the bottom of the tags? A handcrafted stamp from Sanna.
My fave!!!
 Here's the journaling if you're into that sort of thing:
I also managed to join in with
LET'S GET ARTY
The challenge was to use BOOKS - or anything to do with books.
I got out some old music books and & an old novel.
Then went to town with ripping stuff up.
I might put a tutorial up next month, as it was FUN.
Anyways the end result was this:
See, I was getting behind with my Chrissy card tally *winks*!!!
Here's a few of closer looks:

Thanks for looking!

DUSTY ATTIC - The Cards have it! July 2015

Hullo there!
I've got a bit of a different take on using Dusty Attic chippy this month.
I wanted to show you something simple, but effective, that you might like to try :)
So, I used the POINTER TAGS #2:
Image 1
I've created 3 cards.
IDEA ONE:
Cover the arm in coloured in patterned paper!
 IDEA TWO:
Heat emboss the arm...red seemed pretty hot [sorry for the pun!]
soooo, I kept with it!
As you can see, the hand is holding balloons, so I snipped off that pointer finger;)
IDEA THREE:
GLITTER!!! Lovely, gorgeous, messy red glitter!!!
These were all quick, easy, simple and I hope creative ideas that you might get some
POINTERS from [LOL....must be a pun type of a day for me today!!!]
The finished cards:
The cupcakes were iced with whipped spackle & mica flakes - so quite like icing!
Worked a TREAT [groooooan!!!]
I thought I'd pop the heat embossed arm OFF the page, so to speak:
The balloons were heat embossed and fussy cut, as well.
And finally:
Any Essendon [AFL] or Canterbury [Rugby Union] supporter would be pleased to get this card
I'm thinking. I'm sure the other Codes in other countries have red & black sports teams, too;)
And that's it from me......
You can let your FINGERS [eye roll time!!] do the walking.....& buy all the Dusty Attic products
at the DA STORE:)
Happy Card Creating ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

Feathers & Lace. Sort of!!!

I've joined over at STAMPLORATIONS monthly challenge, which is to use
STAMPING & DISTRESSING.
I got my Vintage on - distressing always says that to me!
And I FUSSY CUT [shock, horror!!!]. As you can see,
I've distressed all the paper edges & sand papered the image too.
I've stamped the butterfly and little birds along with the sentiment...there is heaps
of bg stamping [& heat embossing with the harlequin pink shapes, too].
I even stamped & fussy cut some of the little butterflies:
 You can see the bg and the butterflies a bit better here! I really enjoyed
making this card:)
Meanwhile, the...
This month it's to use the initials of FAWN on your project.
I chose to do a card:
F = feathers... [thank you Mitra for the stencil!] ... A & W for Arrows created with
washi tape....N = numbers..... which I covered with Glossy Accents:
Stamped and fussy cut numbers, at that. They do look nice with
that sheen, I reckon.
The bg is heavily influenced by this video I watched by Audrey Blaizot.
She's French & since I'm trying to improve my 'school girl' skills,
I quite like it as she chatters on & I can pretend to understand!
And I do enjoy using up some of our local
feathers!!!
Thanks for checking these cards out & happy scrapping ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge & Scrap it with a Song:

I was checking out how often I'd entered ANOTHER FREAKING SCRAPPY challenge
....about 28 times! But November 2014 was the last time I played!
About time I got back to it, eh???
So, this month the word in the title or journaling is AWESOME.
How EASY is that?!!!
Now, I got in a pickle. My photos were of Lucas jumping off rocks at the beach.
So, I thought I'll rip some paper [waves] & add some texture [rocks].
Sounds great eh? Weeeeellllllll..... if you can bear to peek, check out this MESS:
Oh GOLLY GOSH! Buuuutt.....you know me. Never chuck. Add stuff.
So on with the sprays & splats. EEEEK! WORSE [if possble!!!]......HAAAALP!
Black Gesso......where are youuuuuuuuuu???????????
Oh, I adore this stuff. Even if it only gets used occasionally. Still worth
its weight in gold.
Then I had the light bulb moment  to add some white 'picture' frames & so it evolved:
Sanded back some of the textured bits too. Bonus! And the end result:
I used the 'awesome' in the journaling & wrote it on that banner & sketched in
the arrows as well.
And a closie:
He had such fun!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile, my Italian scrappy mate Giorgia Rossini has taken over running
& my other good
 French scrappy friend, MARIE-CHRISTINE has just gotten onto the DT!
So of course I had to join in & support them!
I do love doing this challenge - soooo easy to pull whatever you want from the song
and scrap it!
There are 2 song choices, I went with Florence and The Machine -
'Never let me Go'.
Here is my hidden journaling, based on how the words in the
song title made me feel:
And I have had this photo for a year! Waiting for the right moment to scrap it.
Which was now...
serendipity, I love thee!
Isn't it the CUTEST???!!!!! One of those sheets of paper with 'left over' Dusty Attic paints
and left over spray ink stencil smooshed on.
It's been in the cupboard for ages, too!!
Up top left, I've punched some circles out of the card stock and added them to the bg.
My hidden journaling is under those top tabs. The title letters were a bit small,
but punching out circles for them kept with the circle motif and now they stand out
nicely!
The wine coloured paper is recycled from a cookery book!
The holes were in it already - easy to add some twine!!
Thanks Mitra for that flair! And the tab is Flutterby Designs.
Mitra sent me that die cut, too. Perfect as well;) This cluster gave the page a bit of balance,
 I figured.....
it was FUN scrapping both these pages.
Thanks for checking them out ~ & you know where to head for some scrappy inspiration!!!
Lasting Memories Challenges
LASTING MEMORIES #248
This is a new blog for me,
I found it through ANNA U
[she's a wonderful scrapper, btw!!!]
The challenge is to 'SCRAP THE THEME "TOGETHER" '.
I've popped these two photos together.
And of course, Mum & Bubs are together as well!
I've been using up some older papers. Some from 2013 [GOOD to
get them scrapped!!!].
The bright yellow stars are from Rainbow Splendour. The red heart,
above, I've punched out & then used a sticky round [thanks Sawyer's Place!] to cover it.
Below, the round vintage image is from Mary B!
An A Piece of Cake Designs flair above.....
journaling below:
I've been trying to use up my stash of Thickers, too :)
Another almost CAS-ish page! Must be feeling sick!!!
Look out for the OTT full of MM ones to follow;)
Cheers ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥
